  1. "I was a renowned sumo wrestler but now I'm in another world fighting the demon king" the title writes itself. I'd read it.

  2. Has Seven Seas picked up the light novel for Haganai yet, or is it still just the manga? If not, that’s my biggest want for this year.

  3. Yes Jean-Luc! I need Scrapped Princess to get picked up. I have the original 3 that got released and I really want more.

  4. I'm still hoping someone publishes Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou or Hyoka… but they are not an isekai… (sigh) I gave up hope on Shinrei Tantei Yakumo, Rakuin no Monshou, Gosick… I guess my only hope is to get better at Japanese to read them myself ?

  5. Denpateki na kanojo doesn't really have an end so you won't get satisfied with the novel version tbh. the anime adaptation was heavily rushed (and skipped totally volume 2 to adapted volume 1 and 3… very partially) but since it adapted volume 3 it means that you won't get any further in the story compared to the anime. The novel series was completely dropped by the author (or editor), probably due to lack of sales.

  6. Im hoping for Shinigami wo Tabeta Shoujo (Girl Who Ate Death) to be licensed, or any other Nanasawa Matari Novel which have a shared Universe. It's one of my favorite Novel i've read.
Also i can't wait for volume 9 of Infinite Dendrogram and anime adaptation.

  7. I'd also love for Seitokai no Ichizon to get licensed, but I doubt it will happen. There are so many language-related puns in there that I think they won't dare to take on the translation…
So about my personal Top 3 Wishes for 2019:
    3. Lord Marksman and Vanadis – Watched the anime. Found it so so, but It felt like the LN might have more substance.
    2. Alderamin on the Sky – Also watched the anime, and it ended on a massive cliffhanger just when it started to get really interesting…
    1. Twelve Kingdoms – The Anime is one of my three favourite shows of all time. I know this one has been licensed by Tokyopop before, but they only translated the first four volumes, and I'd REALLY love to read the rest of it.
Honorable mentions go to Gamers!. It would probably have made rank 3 on my list instead of Vanadis, but we do have it in German, so I don't need an English release anymore.

  8. gimme dat infinite dendrogram anime. Maybe if it becomes popular enough they'll give us physical copies of the LN in english lol.

also if you go to dendro.jp there's a countdown timer with the characters in the background.

Also yay, an atelier fan. I love that series.

  9. Could you recommend me light novels i'm a beginner i know some series but i don't really know where to start any genre will do .

  10. I feel like the joke about publishers announcing a whole lot of manga and then one light novel is going to become a more and more familiar situation in the short term. If you include the currently digital only series, there are nearly 100 series currently being released here right now, and there's only a small chunk of them at the moment that are actually caught up to Japan. I imagine this is starting to become something of a concern for the various marketing teams in terms of how much purchasing bandwidth there is in each genre, and especially in the super fans who pick up a huge number of titles. My suspicion is that until we see a bunch of current titles catch up or end, we're going to see only the following titles getting licensed in the near future:

1.) Brand new "AAA" interest level series. EIGHTY-SIX being licensed very quickly seems like a good example of this.
2.) Series that show up consistently on the fan ask lists and surveys. I know I had 'Reincarnated as a Sword' as my #1 pick on Seven Seas survey every month, and I'm guessing others must have done the same to get it picked up (in combination with the popularity of isekai aiding it).
3.) Titles that are in an unexpected genre and/or that could potentially expand the reader base to people not already buying.
4.) Stand alone volumes or very short finished series that pose less risk/customer investment to sell.

  11. Cross infenite world should actually contine their existing series instead of leting their Readers wait for over a year between Releases…….just saying Obsesion of a Otome gamer, Violet Knight and My favorite song.

The potion LN is from funa the author of Didnt I say to make my next live average and she can conjure potions up ….not only that the container for them is Pretty much for her to chouse also (sword with potion in the hilt or chariot shaped potion container Kind of killed my suspence a bit). I dont like that too much thogh the part were she asked the godess who sent her to the new world to be her friend result in some quite entertaiment along in the storry. And when we talk About potion we are taking from About healing ones to Nitroglyzerin…….

About :I Reincarnated as a White Pig Noble's Daughter from a Shoujo Manga: The MC actuall dont just slims up whenever she stops Looking after her weight she gets chubby again so ist a constant back and forth wich makes it more funny.

My Picks for want would be
    1. Acendence of a bookworm. does anything Needs to be said About this?
    2. An Otome Game’s Burikko Villainess Turned into a Magic Otaku basically Bakarina with a fokus less on Comedy but a more serious plot.
3.Takarakuji de 40-oku Atattandakedo Isekai ni Ijuu Suru Men win a lottery and hides in the boons to not get beged for Money in an oooooollllld house of his family. Finds a door into another medival world and helps with a famine there. A Worldbuilding one About using knowlege and Tools more than cheat skills. He can go back and forth between the Worlds.

  12. Here are a few links to the J-Novel license request threads I made if you want to learn more or throw in support for ones I mentioned. =)

  13. I find it sad that no one has mentioned Zaregoto #2 (I found it the best of NisiOisiN ever read)

That's what I kept thinking till Tom talked lol

"I've been played, and played with.

I've been had—in every sense you can think of.

    Possessed

    Tricked

    Devoured

The solution and resolution of the mystery made me wanna read many parts again—to try and understand or guess the meaning behind the scenes for real, after I know what I came to know."

  14. the potion girl (atlest based on the manga) doesn't seem all that great. Japan Ms Elf can be interesting though. lol honestly, the Isekais are getting more outrageous

  15. I'd like to point out that bio was indeed correct and I was wrong in this episode on whether the Date A Live main series continues after 19. In the afterword of volume 19, the author ends with "see you next volume." Though I don't think I'm entirely crazy for having thought that a Date A Live volume late in the series with a bunch of plot twists and build up that is titled "Mio True End" would be the last. And if anything, I'm glad I was wrong!

  16. You get to hear me give a terribly inaccurate reading of a weight loss light novel in this one (if that made the cut) before reading the actual synopsis.

I do think that "White Pig Shoujo" novel will likely end with her falling for someone, potentially someone of a different house, and her leaving behind the villainess' Manor for their house, so I might have been imprinting what I think will happen on the series. Of course, I only know the setup and some of the early stuff about it. The covers look cute, the web novel is always being updated, and the author is active on Twitter. ^_^
