I think she unlocks the hidden power of the gemstones through her magic. Perhaps a game system mechanic of each gemstone has a different spell that can be drawn out from that stone. A type of Blue Magic from the Final Fantasy series.
(Spoilers) Ll'Arc and Therese are connected to Glass coming from another world who had their most of their legendary heroes defeated and the last one surviving is missing. Their motives on coming to that world is to kill the legendary heroes also Naofumi to spare their world from the waves. (Which is actually false information as the their missing legendary hero Kizuna Kazeyama is trapped in a labyrinth in their world by Kyo a party member who seeks power)
I really hope that there world be a season two because a lot is revealed in the story (The Waves, Raphtalia's home world, and lot more.)
one thing that I am curious about….is there a level cap of some sort? for exemple level 99 is the max or you can go above that?
for exemple someone could reach level 9999?

Naofumi have poison resistance.
About the magic scripture in the novel and Manga the other three can't read at first because they never try to learn language of the world, Naofumi gets Aura Magic but he say that even if you read the same magical books you will learn different things depending of your affinity.

I loved that they kept in the lucor fruit scene. I don't remember when it was but Naofumi said that he could never get drunk even in his original world. It's a pretty strong resistance too, pretty sure it's immunity actually from poisons including alcohol. It's a pretty great ability to have for the shield hero. Bitch is far from done with. Yup, one of the heroes of the past left that buff spell behind for future heroes. If you look back at that totem thing you'll notice the different animal types, including the penguin. So the other animal types were there too which means there are more of those animal suits.
This was in the light novel, but L'Arc said he he met several fake shield heroes already. There were even those with shields that could change shape. That's why they didn't believe Naofumi even when he delayed his shield. Although L'Arc did state Naofumi resembled those wanted posters, but those are gone now. He builds a mental image from information he got from certain people ends up believing the armor guy from Itsuki's party is the real shield hero.
I assume the church set up several fake shield heroes to ruin Naofumi's name as much as they could.

The waves are created when two worlds are rubbed against each other. I won't say who is doing that or way, but you're right about Glass, L'Arc, and Therese being from the other side. Therese doesn't have a hero weapon so she has to piggy back on L'Arc's weapon with that spell.
This was also cut from the anime but when hunting together L'Arc asked to split the bodies of the monsters with Naofumi, absorbing them into his scythe the same way Naofumi does with his shield. L'Arc has a different type of hero weapon. Naofumi has a cardinal weapon. L'Arc has a seven star vassal weapon. It's not as powerful but it has less restrictions. As such they are able to grind EXP together, since the vassal weapons don't repel the cardinal weapons.
Glass also has a seven star vassal weapon. I won't say what the others are. I only recently started reading the light novel and haven't seen any.
When Naofumi is at the statue and sees the writing left by the heroes, in the Light Novel the other heroes are there as well and it's revealed that the language that is visible is different for all the heroes as it was left behind by a previous set of heroes; it's also revealed that the other 3 heroes can't read the language of the world (they get a bit pissy and say that the spell they'll learn will be better than the buff Noafumi got).
The bar scene was a bit different as well as L'arc wasn't there with Naofumi in the novel. But the same type of things happen: Naofumi eats Rucollu fruits, surprises people that they don't affect him, and of course Motoyasu eats one, goes down instantly and they take him away to have his stomach pumped.
Probably more i'm forgetting but I don't know if they'll drop it in the next episodes or two (seems unlikely due to what's coming up).
You should of payed closer attention to what Therese did to make her understood.
Also Naofumi didn't make those weapons. Those were item drops from the monsters he killed. It was one of the systems the other three would agree on. Noafumi checked later and found his inventory full of all sorts of materials and vendor trash. Also that's where those penguin kigurumis came from. I had hoped to see Filo wear one. Those things adjust their size to fit their wearer, but in Filo's case it causes her colors to change to a penguin pattern.
That screen cap you showed of their levels was when they were at the dragon hourglass. By that point they've been at this archipelago for a couple of days. While I don't know what L'Arc and Therese got up to after they left the party, but keep in mind that's the same day they found the hourglass, so it's not to deal with the wave or what ever.
I think there is 2 more episodes, next episode probably will deal with the "details" of the island stay (and probably the "resort scene").
About the adventurers: Last episode, they had balls to drop a bomb of a foreshadowing, if you find it, things becomes really obvious. 🙂
Also, i think it was a really lost chance. The scene where the flames "burn" Naofumi, in the source, the flames "whisper" to Naofumi "Thank you", and not even Therese know that her flames did heal a little of his curse. Be mindfull that, yes, the flames reduced a little of the curse, but did not fully heal him.

The scene with the Lucoru fruit is a lot more dramatic in the source, since NOBODY can eat one and SURVIVE. This is a really big throwback to the first episode, where Naofumi dont accept to drink, because he never got drunk and always felt left out of the fun while drinking with friends. And that is why Naofumi dont drink! lol
The Arm wrestling is a scene original to the first WEBnovel.
In the original Webnovel, this island arc there are a lot more frustations (specially for Raphtalia) than in the future materials, and the bar scenes were the first time we got to see the serious Raphtalia "cut loose" her frustations. I got REALLY HAPPY to see at least a glimpse of it, since in the original webnovel, Raphtalia drunk became the "champion of arm wrestling", but on future editions, this got left out of the story (save for a bonus episode, maybe?).

Naofumi can understand Therese, it’s just that Raphtalia can’t understand her since Therese is a foreigner. In terms of her understanding L’Arc… that’s not going to be explained until probably episode 24/25. Episode 24’s title hints that.
I do like this setting.
